Name of survey:  Hispanic Technographics® Youth Online Survey, Q2 2009 (US)
Product:  Hispanic Consumer Technographics
Date of survey:  June 2009
Region:  United States
Number of respondents:  1,068

Forrester conducted an online survey fielded in June 2009 of 1,068 Hispanic US individuals ages 13 to 17. For results based on a randomly chosen sample of this size (N=1,068), there is 95% confidence that the results have a statistical precision of plus or minus 3% of what they would be if the entire population of US Hispanic consumers ages 13 to 17 had been surveyed. Forrester weighted the data by age within gender, broadband adoption, and region, based on data from online households with children between the ages of 13 and 17 in the Hispanic Technographics Media And Marketing Phone Survey, Q1 2009 (US). The phone survey was weighted based on data from the March 2008 Census Population Survey Supplement. The survey sample size, when weighted, was 1,062. (Note: Weighted sample sizes can be different from the actual number of respondents to account for individuals generally underrepresented in survey data.) Please note that this was an online survey. Respondents who participate in online surveys have in general more experience with the Internet and feel more comfortable transacting online. In addition, Hispanics who belong to online panels are generally more English-dominant than the entire online population of Hispanics. The data is weighted to be representative for the total online population of Hispanics on the weighting targets mentioned, but this sample bias may produce results different from an offline study methodology of Hispanic youth ages 13 to 17. The sample was drawn from members of Luth Research’s online panel, and respondents were paid a monetary incentive to participate. The sample provided by Luth is not a random sample. While individuals have been randomly sampled from Luth’s panel for this particular survey, they have previously chosen to take part in the Luth online panel.
