Swedish Online Investing Forecast: 2006 To 2011

This is the fourth document in the "Forecasting European Online Investing" series.

by Tim van Tongeren

with Cliff Condon, Ashara Giordanelli

Executive Summary (This is a document excerpt)

Swedish investors have returned to the Net to research and buy stocks and funds. And we expect the numbers to continue to grow during the next five years — by 2011, 1.6 million Swedes will research investments online and half of those will buy online. Existing investors moving their offline activities online will be the main driver of this growth, rather than a large influx of new investors. Cheaper commission fees and improved research capabilities will also drive more investment buyers online through 2011, while mediocre online tools and the lack of strong economic growth will keep growth moderate.
