This is a document excerptEXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Dutch investors in stocks and funds are returning to the Net for their research and buying. Forrester projects that online experience among current investors, improved online research capabilities, and lower fees will drive 130,000 more investment buyers online through 2011. But a lack of strong economic growth combined with mediocre online functionality will keep the growth moderate. By 2011, 1.4 million Dutch investors will use the Net for researching investments and 366,000 will use it for purchasing stocks and funds. Online stockbrokers will lock in frequent traders, while the banks will use their online banking Web sites to serve their mass-affluent customers, who trade less frequently.
