Summary
Enterprise architecture (EA) is a critical capability for organizations, but architecture teams often report struggles to maintain mindshare and support. However, Forrester’s Modern Technology Operations Surveys, 2022 to 2024, show EA growth. From 2022 to 2024, enterprise digital and IT professionals reported an increase in offering “architect” jobs titles from 64% to 75%, respectively. Similarly, they reported an increase from 46% to 58%, respectively, in having a dedicated “architecture” operating unit (and a decrease in those reporting that they had such a unit in the past but no longer do). The data is therefore consistent with architecture teams solidifying their importance in organizations.
