Dr. Laura Bonamici

SVP & Head of Global Marketing, Fujitsu

Dr. Laura Bonamici is SVP & Global Head of Marketing at Fujitsu, leading a multi-cultural, and diverse team of HQ and regional marketing professionals focused on strengthening the Fujitsu Brand in the marketplace and helping grow the business. Laura is responsible for brand, thought leadership, growth and demand gen marketing, insight and analytics, as well as regional marketing.

Previously, Laura led Fujitsu Corporate Marketing where she was responsible for the new direction of the Fujitsu brand, leading brand strategy, production, media planning and buying. She also drove the creative, media and communications strategy for the launch of Fujitsu Uvance and the Corporate Brand refresh in 2021, both multi-awardwinning programs and the company’s biggest brand move in more than a decade.

Named in May 2013 as the company’s first-ever Vice President of Corporate Communications, she was responsible for internal and external stakeholder communications for six years – including public and analyst relations, internal
communications, corporate reputation management, and corporate affairs.

Before joining Fujitsu in 2012, Laura worked for a public relations agency both in her native Italy and in Germany, supporting Silicon Valley start-ups in establishing themselves in European markets. She started her career with a sixyear stint at investment bank Goldman Sachs in London, a period that she describes as her ‘corporate gym’ where she honed her fitness for the next phase of her career.

Laura holds a PhD in Drama and Theater studies from Royal Holloway University of London, where her research focused on the impact of digital technologies on storytelling. She graduated in Modern Languages from the University of Florence. She is based in Tokyo, Japan, married to an artist who is a constant source of inspiration, and is the proud mother of an amazing fifteen-year-old girl.
