Jarrod Howard

Deputy CEO, Customer Service Delivery Group, Services Australia

Jarrod commenced as the Deputy CEO Customer Service Delivery at Services Australia in February 2022. Jarrod is responsible for delivering health, child support and social welfare services, as well as managing the Agency’s operational emergency response. Jarrod previously held positions in the agency across Face-to-Face Services, Health, Aged Care and Veterans Modernisation, and managed the Health Programs Division during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Jarrod previously worked for nearly seventeen years in the Department of Defence as an Army Officer and an official in the Australian Public Service. He joined the Army in December 2003 and was commissioned into the Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery. He began his career in the Australian Public Service in 2008.

Jarrod previously held senior executive positions in international policy (managing Defence’s international relationships across Europe, Africa, UN, NATO, South Asia and the Middle East), enterprise reform (leading the implementation of a transformation change program across Defence) and in maritime program assurance (contesting the Naval Shipbuilding program).

Originally from Hobart, Tasmania, Jarrod is married with 2 children and 2 Labradors.

Jarrod’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Tasmania and an Executive Masters in Business Administration (Complex Project Management) from the Queensland University of Technology.
