Kyle Johnson

President & CEO, Lighthouse Works

Kyle Johnson is the President and CEO of Lighthouse Central Florida (LCF) and its subsidiary social enterprise nonprofit company, Lighthouse Works (LW). Charting a course of living, learning, and earning with vision loss, the Lighthouse companies empower and employ 500+ Floridians and residents spanning every continental time zone, roughly half of whom are competitively employed men and women who are blind or visually impaired. Kyle heads the executive leadership team for both organizations and is the chief spokesperson representing LCF and LW at local, state, and national levels.

Kyle is a registered instructor and recurring panel participants at Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership at Rollins College, where he also earned his Bachelor of Arts in English in 2007. He holds a Crummer Certification in Business Management for Nonprofit (CBM-NP) and a Certificate in Fundraising and Development, both from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College.

Kyle is a former President of the statewide association of Florida Agencies Serving the Blind (FL ASB), a current member of the Board of Directors for the National Industries for the Blind (NIB) and the National Association for the Employment of People who are Blind (NAEPB), serves on the advisory board for the department of Social Entrepreneurship at Rollins College, and is a part President of the Central Florida Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Kyle is a passionate community advocate, storyteller, public speaker, and public speaking trainer, appearing on numerous radio and podcast programs. Outside of his work at Lighthouse, Kyle can be found enjoying local live music, playing guitar or percussion in a family jam session, exercising, or enjoying time with his wife and three children.
